Dr. Kranti Kiran Reddy Ealla
Academic Leadership & Vision
Dr. Kranti Kiran Reddy Ealla is a distinguished academic leader, researcher, and administrator currently serving as the Director of Research at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth (MRV). He is also a Professor and Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at Malla Reddy Institute of Dental Sciences. Prior to this, he also served as Professor, Reader, and Senior Lecturer at MNR Dental College and Hospital. With over 14 years of experience spanning Dental Sciences, Clinical Research, Institutional Development, and Innovation Management, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening the university’s research ecosystem and advancing global academic collaborations.

At MRV, Dr. Ealla leads the Directorate of Research, the Clinical Research Unit, and the Malla Reddy Foundation for Research and Innovation. His leadership focuses on promoting interdisciplinary research, fostering innovation-driven entrepreneurship, supporting healthcare startups, and building strategic partnerships with national and international institutions.
Research Contributions & Impact
Dr. Ealla has successfully mobilized more than ₹2 crores in competitive research funding and serves as the Principal Investigator for multiple funded research projects. His contributions to translational research and clinical sciences have resulted in over 50 peer-reviewed national and international publications, two patents, and two authored academic books. His research interests include Drug Delivery Systems, Oral Cancer Biomarkers, Tissue Engineering, Biomaterials, Clinical Pathology, and Hydrogel-based Biomedical Applications.
Institutional Development & Mentorship
A strong advocate for research excellence and institutional quality, Dr. Ealla has actively contributed to NAAC accreditation initiatives, ethics governance, and research policy development. Under his guidance, the university has strengthened its grant acquisition framework, clinical trial governance systems, and innovation incubation activities. In addition to his academic and administrative accomplishments, Dr. Ealla is deeply committed to mentoring students, researchers, and young innovators. He actively supports startup incubation and encourages collaborative, industry-oriented research that addresses real-world healthcare challenges.
