His expertise spans localised drug delivery systems for wound healing using novel biomaterials, mucosal soft tissue tumors and molecular genetic approaches for early pre-cancer detection.
Beyond research, Dr. Kranti is deeply committed to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the healthcare and biomedical sectors. He actively mentors startups, providing clinical validation, regulatory guidance, and market positioning strategies, helping transform lab-based innovations into real-world healthcare solutions.
As the Director for International Affairs, he has been instrumental in building strategic global partnerships, facilitating student and faculty exchange programs and spearheading collaborative research initiatives, strengthening the institution's global academic presence.
A prolific researcher and innovator, Dr. Kranti holds two patents and has published over 60 research papers in national and international journals. He also serves as a peer reviewer for reputed journals and is a sought-after speaker for invited lectures and continuing education programs.
Dr. Kranti is a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (AAOMP) and an active member of ADEA and IADR, contributing to national and international policy-making and academic advancements. He has also played a key role in institutional quality enhancement and accreditation processes, serving as Member Coordinator for the Institutional Ethics Committee and previously as Chief Editor of a Dental Journal.

Dr. Venkatesan J., MSc., MPhil., PhD., is a Professor and Head of the Department of Biomaterials and Transplant Sciences at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad. He has extensive international research experience and has previously served as Assistant Professor at the Yenepoya Research Centre (YRC), Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangalore, Karnataka.
Dr. Venkatesan J., MSc., MPhil., PhD., is a Professor and Head of the Department of Biomaterials and Transplant Sciences at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth, Hyderabad. He has extensive international research experience and has previously served as Assistant Professor at the Yenepoya Research Centre (YRC), Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangalore, Karnataka. Prior to this, he worked as a Research Professor and Postdoctoral Researcher at Hanyang University and Incheon National University, South Korea. He also served as a Research Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Marine Bioprocess Research Center (MBPRC) at Pukyong National University, South Korea.
Dr. Venkatesan obtained his Master of Science in Chemistry from Thiruvalluvar University and completed his PhD from Pukyong National University, South Korea. His research focuses on the development of biomaterials for artificial organ applications, with broader interests in drug delivery systems, biosensors, tissue engineering, and antimicrobial resistance research. He has received research grants from DST-SERB, DBT-BIRAC, and Yenepoya University. Dr. Venkatesan has published over 250 research articles, reviews, and book chapters, and holds four patents. With an H-index of 55 and over 13,800 citations, he has been recognized among the Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists for four consecutive years (2021–2024). He has also edited three books published by Elsevier.
