About Grant Cell

Directorate of Research, Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth

The Grant Cell under the Directorate of Research at Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth supports faculty members and researchers in identifying, applying for, and managing research funding from national and international agencies. The cell strengthens the university’s research ecosystem by facilitating competitive grant proposals, promoting interdisciplinary projects, and ensuring effective management of funded research.

The Grant Cell operates under the supervision of the Directorate of Research and is coordinated by a Grant Coordinator. The team may include faculty representatives, research administrators, and financial staff who assist in identifying funding opportunities, proposal preparation, and grant management.

The cell identifies funding opportunities from agencies such as DST, DBT, SERB, ICMR, AICTE, UGC, Horizon Europe, Indo‑US programs, and UKIERI. It assists faculty with proposal development, budget preparation, submission procedures, and compliance with funding agency requirements. The cell also supports grant administration, project monitoring, and reporting.

Funding opportunities are identified and shared with faculty. Researchers prepare concept notes or proposals with support from the Grant Cell. The cell assists with internal review, budgeting, and submission through funding portals. Once grants are awarded, the cell coordinates project initiation, monitoring, financial reporting, and progress documentation.

Funding alerts, proposal development support, budgeting assistance, compliance guidance, grant administration support, and maintenance of a funded projects database for institutional reporting, accreditation, and rankings.

The cell organizes workshops and training programs on grant writing, funding agency guidelines, project management, and research funding opportunities to enhance faculty capacity to secure competitive research grants.
